Regularly Repeating Events
This page shows the regularly repeating events that have been moved from the Rolling News page. For each event, the next date is given if this is known, otherwise the most recent date is given for information.
Once again, we are grateful to Councillors Deirdre Alden and Matt Bennett for organising these mobile collections. The last was on Spring Road, Edgbaston B15 2HA on Monday March 18th between 7.00am and 12.30.
Birmingham City Council is ‘re-badging’ this as the Mobile Waste Collection Service (rather than a recycling service) and the recycling wagon (which had various compartments) will no longer be there. It will just be a normal dustbin lorry but useful for getting rid of bulky items. People can of course still take garden waste there but it won’t be recycled.
Litter Picking
The forthcoming Litter Picking dates in 2024 are on Saturday mornings. Any changes to these dates will be posted here.
The next is on April 27th, and then June 1st, June 29th, July 27th, August 31st, September 28th, October 26th, November 23rd.

Principle Estate Management are continuing with the fortnightly ‘Come and meet the Team’ surgeries initiated by First Port.
They are held at Boston Tea Party at 30 Harborne Road, Edgbaston B15 3AA on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
Apologies to anyone who came today (23.04) as this is when we assumed they would start.
The next is out of sequence on Tuesday 30th April. Thereafter, the dates will be as usual on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays.
The Edgbaston Village Artisan Markets take place on Greenfield Crescent from 10am to 3pm on the second Saturdays of the month. The dates are:
13th April, 11th May, 8th June, 13th July, 10th August, 14th September, 12th October, 9th November and 14th December.
Dates are highlighted when CRS has a stall).
There will also be a Garden Market on Sunday 28th April.
