Mobile Household Recycling

Once again, we are grateful to Councillors Deirdre Alden and Matt Bennett for organising these mobile collections. The next is 07:00 – 12:30 on Tuesday 5th September 2023 at Farquhar Road East B15 3RD. The flyer is here and the map is here.

The forthcoming Litter Picking dates in 2023 are: Saturday 30 September, Saturday 28 October and Saturday 25 November. Please email us if you wish to participate in these events.


FirstPort Surgeries

“FirstPort Boston Tea Party – residents’ surgeries
First Port [Mainstay] have fortnightly ‘Come and meet the Team’ surgeries to be held at: The Pineapple Room at Boston Tea Party at 30 Harborne Road, Edgbaston B15 3AA.
The surgeries are held on the Second & Fourth Tuesday of each month from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
The dates in September are the 12th and 26th.
This gives the Calthorpe Estates residents the opportunity to meet the dedicated team face-to-face, to discuss any aspect of FirstPort services. The team is:
> Director Scheme of Management – Stephen Richards
> Area Property Manager – Gillian Stanley
> Senior Property Manager – Stephanie Harrison
> Estates Service Manager – Tony MacDonagh


Edgbaston Village Artisan Markets

The Edgbaston Village Artisan Market, held at Greenfield Crescent returned on 8th April. The Markets take place from 10am to 3pm on the second Saturdays of the month. The forthcoming dates are:
9th September, 14th October
11th November
– in conjunction with the Christmas Lights Switch on event
9th DecemberA Christmas special
The dates above are highlighted when CRS has a stall.

Please note that there was a Garden Market on Sunday 11th June, 10am – 3pm in the same place. More Garden Markets are planned for the future.
