Saturday, September 4th, saw another very successful Artisan Market in Greenfield Crescent, organised by Calthorpe Estates. It was very well supported with a lovely friendly atmosphere and – a bonus – the weather was kind!
Calthorpe Estates generously provided a stand for CRS, for which we are very grateful. Our stand was run by Committee members led by Chairman, Peter Arnold.
We were delighted that so many CRS members came to see us, and it gave us the opportunity to have a chat and remind them of our 50th Anniversary AGM at Edgbaston High School for Girls on November 24th. We also met many people who live on the Estate but were unaware of our existence! We explained what we were about, gave them some appropriate literature and invited them to join us. Quite a few said they would: we look forward to hearing from them!
The Market is apparently going to be a regular monthly feature, the next being due on Friday October 8th, although they will normally be held on Saturdays.
We hope to have a stand again and look forward to meeting more members and others we can persuade to join us!. So please come along and say “hello”!
