Government consultation on enhanced protections for homeowners on freehold estates

[01.01.26] This consultation sets out wide-ranging proposals to give better rights and protection for homeowners living on privately managed estates and to address the considerable injustices they face. This includes the introduction of new measures in legislation that will mean homeowners on privately managed estates will no longer have to worry about losing their homes when they fall into arrears on their estate management charge. If you are a paid up CRS member you will be charged the CRS members fee (if there is one) for all social events. if you are not a member there will always be an extra charge (except your first event), but if you live on the Calthorpe Estate, you may join CRS for £10 per household per year and then not be subject to this charge.
If you are a Calthorpe Estate Resident, you may join CRS for £10 per household per year, which means you will pay the CRS members fee (if there is one) for all social events.
Please note that if you are a CRS member, only the two registered persons in your household pay the members fee. If you have selected 'More than two' or 'Variable number', please describe your requirements in the 'Comment' field.
