Birmingham Botanical Gardens is hosting “Tipping Point” – an immersive art installation – as part of Birmingham Light Festival.

Glenn is a multi-award-winning Birmingham-based architect living on the Calthorpe Estate, whose major buildings and projects include Paradise Birmingham, Royal Wharf, London City Island, English National Ballet and the Bramall Music Building. Glenn will speak on “Houses in Edgbaston”

Below are our regularly repeating events.
Once again, we are grateful to Councillors Deirdre Alden and Matt Bennett for organising these mobile collections.
Because of the increased usage of the Mobile Household Waste Centres during the strike, the Council has decided to currently only locate them on large car park sites. Full instructions are here.
The next visit of the Mobile Household Waste Collection Service will be at the car park on Osler Street, North Edgbaston B16 9EU on Monday Feb 16th from 7.30am to 12.30pm.
Household waste, garden waste and recycling can all be taken along, but please note the recycling will not be recycled. It will all go in the same wagon.
No vans allowed.
Litter Picking
Litter Picking takes place on Saturday mornings. The 2026 dates are as follows:
28 February, 28 March, 25 April, 30 May,
27 June, 25 July, 22 August, 26 September,
31 October (Halloween) & 28 November
All equipment except gloves is provided.
Please email us if you wish to participate in any of these events.
Principle Estate Management have ‘Come and meet the Team’ surgeries, which are held at Boston Tea Party at 30 Harborne Road, Edgbaston B15 3AA.
They have now changed the frequency to monthly on the last Tuesday of the month at 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
We believe the next date is 24th February, 2026.
The Edgbaston Village Artisan Markets take place on Greenfield Crescent on the second Saturday of the month from 10:30 to 3:30.
The first day time date for 2026 is 11th April, however there is a special Night Market on 13th February from 4pm – 7pm.
